Nice and refreshing from the usual crap i see here. Maybe this should be a guide
as to how scenic walls are meant to look like. And the proper use of sakura
leaves needs to be complimented. Here's a note to those other wallers here that
the leaves acutally FIT the image. Sunrays are great too.
Minor niggles will be the lack of image altering... Fixing or
"Altering" the original image to remove the scrappy looking
outlines... they make the characters (especially the one on the right) look
ugly.
I'm going to ruin the party. It looks INCREADIBLY familiar, but I'm not gonna do
anything about that because I can't think of what else it looks like.
Instead, the bluriness isn't really acceptible. There are heaps of ways you can
go around preventing your characters from getting all blury when you wanna wall
them, and one of the main ways is to vector it.
Vectoring may seem to be overwhelming at first, but when done properly, it looks
like you've improved the quality of the image from the original. There is
something in the user policy about super-sized scans being deleted because of
poor quality. I won't report you for it though, because I'm too lazy to hit the
report button and write it up. Also, the new mods seem to be.... crap.
Other than that, good job. The bg is pretty good and has good atmosphere.
Well... It looks good thumbnailed, and it's decent to look out full sized, kudos
for that. The trouble arises when I try to figure out what you tried to make in
the bg @.@
It looked like the hull of a space ship at first, then a cyber-city, then some
sort of cyberspace thing.... truthfully dude, when it comes to making 3d stuff,
too much can be just that. Great effects though, it looks great. And exactly how
long did you spend on it? Looks like you spent a frew weeks non stop on it...
And I thought I was bad
(btw, no I'm not dead... I come on IRC every now and then, when I've got nothing
else to do. iPods change that though XP)
rofl!!! And I thought the shoutbox was boring... (come live in IRC for a while
btw. Great way to loose your sanity XP )
This wall howerver, prooves the usefulness of simple shapes. Love the bear (he's
a bit of a hunchback though...). The bg is simple but effective too. Apart from
that... abstract thing in the far bg... which at first I mistook for a bad
attempt at the radioactive trifoil.... but anyway, good work!
Oh, by the way, say hello to Katzbalger, the radioactive member. I work with
radiation on a regular basis (I'm a radiographer technical assistant. Radiation
poissoning here I come!)
I must say... this impresses me greatly. The intergration with the character and
the background was pulled off amazingly well, and the mechanical bg is just
great.
The one thing that made me ROFL though... are the status windows (especialy the
bandwidth alert
)
nice job... looks like something I would do .
The colours need work though. Doesn't look like her actual skin tone. Also, the
pantsu are too bright. Fabric can never get that bright, and if it could, it's
probably radioactive XP
OMG! It's not Tsukihime!! Who are you and what have you done with
Muz!!!!
The thumb looks crap. The wall is not too bad. It's too red for my liking. And
the black is scratched on.... I know what you are trying to do, and you pulled
it off well. It's just not my cup of loli.
Another great wallpaper, but not to my tastes. I assume the bg was done in
3dsmax again. I still don't know how to do that stuff (I was only taught how to
model and animate in it )
Only thing I can point out is that there is still some white outlines around
Asuka's hair, and the colours could use a smudge in PS to remove the grainy look
on them Trust me, it'll look a crap load better if you do.
Great job. Marvelous. Brilliant. Original scenic art, now that's what I want to
see. No planet, no tree in the distance and no grass. I thought that it was a
stock bg, but apon closer inspection I could see key PS elements in there. Not
that that's a bad thing.
The texture on the railing is BRILLIANT!!!! You couldn't do a better job on those, I swear! The
clouds look great and so do the birds (if lacking minor detail). The tree
however, looks plastic. I know it really can't be helped, but when it's that
close, you should be able to see the veins on the leaves.. I think I can see
them on the ones in the foreground.. but it's too hard to tell, they're not
light/dark enough. The bark on the branches are a little too bright
too.
Anyway, it still kicks some serious bee-hind. Great job.
Not a bad job. Her eyes are far too close together though. Remember, the
distance between eyes is exactly 1 eye. So if you draw 1 eye in the middle, and
2 more on either sides, you'll have your eyes almost perfect (this doesn't
always work). Oh, and thanks for uploading more Negi stuff... MT needs more of
that.
Congrats for getting my attention. The scan looks good as does the bg.
On further inspection, I notice that the scan could do with a better extractoin.
It looks like it was extracted with a simple magic wand. A simple magic wand
never works, even on mono colour bg scans, you still have to do some touch ups.
There are small white speckles around the character which require removal. Also,
with the bg, the text above "Dimension" is not legable....
Apart from that it's great work and well done. If you can fix up the character's
outline, I'll fave it (tell me if you do fix it up)
Great work, it's about time I saw some quality stuff on MT. Just a few
suggestions and things I pointed out (the Katzbalger usual really)....
The extraction could use a tad bit more work. There are still some little white
lines around Arc here and there. Just a small erase should get the trick
done.
And just a note, the butterflys aren't really neccesary, but they do no harm to
the wall, so they're fine. I just figured I'd point that out seeing as I don't
expect to see butterflies at that height.
No offence Sandra, But you either put too much into this, or it's not finished
yet. For one, I can tell you that the character is too pale compaired to the bg,
and stands out far too much, same with the ice too. It just doesn't fit for some
reason. Perhaps having the ice the same colour as that white tree in the bg will
make it fit in more, give it more of a surreal look. As for the character, it
needs a smudge over it to remove the original grain look, make it look more
fresh and smooth. A level adjustment will help too, and the outer glow needs a
bit of tone down, right now it looks like it's hiding a poor
extraction.
The sky looks nice, but is too celled.. unless those are mountains (and if they
are, they need a bit of work). The sun breaking through is a nice effect, but
once again, the contrast is too great compaired to the rest of the wall...
perhaps having the white light bloom from some yellow light instead.... it just
seems to be the only life in a vast majority of the wall (and I do see the
ducks, don't worry... I think they need to be sharper though...)
The ocean is great. It's also making me jelouse.... I need a tut for those,
seriously.
If you can... add more ducks into the bg for a bit more life too.
If you can fix these up (the scan and the ice colour atleast), let me know and
I'll give it the fave it deserves. Good work, it just needs more of it.
Oh, and by the way, there's nothing wrong with a dark wall, as long as we can
see it.
Okay, I'm gonna be a demon here are destroy the picnic. Don't hate me for it,
but it's my honest oppinion.
First off, the wall looks too empty. There's some exitement happening with the
characters, but that's it? How about some birds, or something, give the
background more life. They could be walking through a graveyard by the looks of
things, the bg is too dead.
I know you re-cged the bg, but simply creating gradient's doesn't cut it. The
walls, road and even the light posts need texture. Everything looks too
smoothed, polished and buffed. Plus those transmitters look like they've been
made out of plastic. A lack of texture is fine for all those buildings in the
distance though. They're fine and well done (thought there does seem to be
something wrong with the perspective... meh, that's overlookable).
The final complaint... You re-worked the background, but did nothing to the
characters! I can see a slight colour difuse on them. A smugde over the colour
areas and softning of the shadows, perhaps even a level adjustment, and they'd
look fine, but honestly, I think it was a great mistake to overlook fixing up
the characters when you re-did the bg.
Plus I don't think that recreating the bg will suffice as a wallpaper.. After
all, using a stock image for a wallpaper is against minitokyo policy, and
re-using the scan's bg to create a wall with seems to be... bending the rules.
My oppnion anyway.
Anyway, don't hate me for this. I just figured you needed some proper critic.
lol, this is a great concept, I love it. It's about time someone posted some
quality work on MT. The only person who I've faved in about a month is
Tama-Neko. MT's quality story has become a very sad one. Thanks for the breath
of fresh air.
Well... it looks like you don't look around. All of those non-bg walls have been
deleted, and if they haven't been deleted yet, they will soon. You didn't have
to go so far to prove a point... so far to effectivly ask to be banned. You'll
be lucky if you don't.
Oh, and I suggest you re-read the policy yourself. Truthfully I'm not offended
by what you said. It doesn't really concern me, nor does it apply to me. But the
fact that with this wall alone you broke a few policy rules, and you did so in
the discription too.
And no offence, but this looks like a 20 minute job to me. I know I could do it
in 15.
Nice and refreshing from the usual crap i see here. Maybe this should be a guide as to how scenic walls are meant to look like. And the proper use of sakura leaves needs to be complimented. Here's a note to those other wallers here that the leaves acutally FIT the image. Sunrays are great too.

rofl, love the image. They even got the dog in there too, great one Tama!
About bloody time... Best grunge work I've seen in about 9 months...

oooo!! That's my vector! Not a bad job might I add. Still, not brilliant but good.

could you update please? D/l does not work. must spam to break 64 character limit now
Hey Nuri. Could you update this please. The full d/l isn't loading.
Anime BGX wallpaper. Read the userpolicy. Do not post walls that you did not create.

question... is this a doujinshi wallpaper?
please reply in my user page.
omfg... there's... nothing.. to point out... in this wallpaper! It's perfect! Damn, nice job!
